FNAE History

The Filipino Nurses Association in Emirates was formed in recognition of the increasing number of Filipino Nurses and the need to address their issues and concerns in the UAE.

​

April 9, 2009 - first meeting of Filipino Nurses at the Old Philippine Embassy, Abu Dhabi.

 

May 7, 2009 - the organization was named Filipino Nurses Association in Emirates (FNAE).

​

August 2009 - Approval of by-laws and accreditation received from the Philippine Embassy, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

​

November 6, 2009 - the First Psychosocial Mission for the OWWA POLO wards was held in the new Philippine Embassy.

​

February 14, 2010 - Formal launching of FNAE officers and members at the Casell's Hotel, Abu Dhabi.

  • PNA accreditation as UAE chapter

  • First Nurse Licensure Exam was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Highlights of Activities:

  • Psychosocial Mission done every first Saturday of the month and continued up to this date

  • Active member of Bayanihan and Filipino Professional Group

  • Supported financial literacy program of the Philippine Embassy

  • Diabetes week at the Yas Island, Abu Dhabi

  • Supported relief operation and fund raising campaign at Madinat Zayed, Western Region, Abu Dhabi for typhoon Yolanda victims
